# Right-Rail Assistant (Chat)

The assistant chat lets you ask Hex for help without leaving the page.

Open the assistant by clicking **Ask Hex**.

Use the chat to:

- ask what the current page is for;
- get step-by-step help;
- understand errors or empty results;
- find related Help topics;
- ask what to do next;
- get short explanations of Actualog terms.

Examples:

Hex may answer with links to Help topics or pages in Actualog. Use those links to continue the workflow.
